What is Vetmedin?

Vetmedin opens up the blood vessels taking blood away from the heart, so reducing the work the heart has to do to pump blood around your dog's body. At the same time, Vetmedin opens up the blood vessels returning blood to the heart which reduces pressure on the heart. Vetmedin also differs from other commonly used heart drugs by helping to the heart to pump more efficiently. It is thought that the increase in life expectancy seen in clinical studies is a result of these effects.

Dosing Information:

Give this medication exactly as directed by your veterinarian. Unless otherwise directed by your veterinarian, the total daily dose should be divided into 2 portions;  given 12 hours apart. Store Vetedin at room temperature away from moisture and light.
